Who is Yana?

Yana Galbshtein, an alumni of Academy of Art University, has over 15 years of experience as a tailor, working with the industry’s top creative teams. She is based out of New York.

 She has extensive experience on and off set tailoring for editorials, ad campaigns, eCommerce, fashion shows, celebrity and private client work, music and movie productions and more.

Upon graduating from AAU, Yana’s collection received the attention of Wilkes Bashford, one of the world’s most influential men in fashion and founder of Wilkes Bashford luxury store, and was flown to Naples, Italy to further her knowledge at Kiton. Here she perfected her craftsmanship as a tailor and designer.

After leaving Italy, Yana ran her own fashion label, Social Rebel Clothing, a men's street wear line. She was also recruited to write and teach fashion and art courses for AAU in San Francisco CA. Having an interest in film, Yana changed direction and took her skills to film, exploring different creative roles as a Costume Designer, Wardrobe Supervisor, Prop Master and On Set Tailor. In between film work, Yana would also do on figure styling for companies such as Columbia, Rockport and more. Currently Yana is focused on the art of tailoring and is working with the industries leading stylists, directors, photographers, celebrities, artists to produce a quality outcome, under any given situation and time restraint.
